The service
Slangdec provides slang definitions and plain-language rewrites for informational and entertainment purposes. Slang meanings can vary by community, region, and context, so definitions are provided as a general guide, not an authoritative source.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent where you live, to use this site. By using the site you confirm you meet this requirement.
No guarantee of accuracy
Slang changes quickly. While we try to keep the dictionary current and accurate, we don't guarantee that every definition reflects how a specific person meant a word in a specific message.
Word suggestions you submit
If you submit a word suggestion, you confirm that you wrote it yourself (or otherwise have the right to submit it) and that it doesn't infringe anyone else's rights. By submitting a suggestion, you give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, edit, and publish it as part of the public dictionary if we choose to approve it. We review suggestions before publishing and may edit, decline, or remove any suggestion at our discretion, for any reason, including definitions that are inaccurate, offensive, or otherwise inappropriate for the site.
Acceptable use
Don't use this site to attempt to disrupt the service, scrape it at high volume, submit false or abusive word suggestions, attempt to access the review/admin tools without authorization, or use it for any unlawful purpose.
Intellectual property
The Slangdec name, logo, design, and original dictionary content are owned by us unless otherwise noted. You're welcome to link to the site or quote short excerpts with attribution; please don't republish the dictionary in bulk without asking first.
Advertising
This site may display third-party advertising through Google AdSense. We are not responsible for the content of ads shown by third-party ad networks.
No warranty
This site is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose. Use it at your own discretion.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Slangdec and its operator aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site is limited to the amount (if any) you've paid us in the past 12 months — which, for a free site, is generally nothing.
Third-party links
The site may link to third-party services (PayPal, social platforms, resource hotlines, etc.). We don't control and aren't responsible for the content or practices of those third parties.
Termination
We can suspend or restrict access to the site, or to specific features like word submissions, for anyone who violates these terms.
